〈Return〉Exhibition
I went to Shikoku, Japan in the summer of 2017. After the trip, I started to illustrate the food and scenery in my journey. While I was creating the drawing, I felt like returning into the journey, experiencing everything all over again. I especially love to visit the usual places where the locals spend their daily lives. No matter the coffee shops that serve only dark-roasted coffee, or the self-serviced udon canteens, the feeling of familarity and the sense of daily routine seemed to be both welcoming and rejecting for tourists. How I wish I were a real local, to enjoy the “usual” Japanese places without barrier. This series of color pencil drawings has been exhibited 2 times: 27th April, 2018 - 31st May, Midway shop, Hong Kong (Solo exhibition) 24th July, 2018 - 5th August, ASYAAF, Seoul, Korea (Group exhibition)
