〈線卷〉
媽媽以前是車衣女工，她習慣把所有線卷放到一個大箱子裡，箱內還塞進了毛冷、梳子、衣車零件、襪子和其它雜物，有次想伸手去拿線卷，突然感到手被刺了幾下，原來箱子裡有不少仍連著線尾的縫針，某人在使用後隨手掉進去。為甚麼不把東西放好一點呢？雖然心裡極生氣，可是若走去跟媽媽說，就只會換來「我弄的豬扒不是很好吃的嗎？」的這類回應。於是決定花半天時間，把那些連著線尾的針全部拿出來放好，再把箱內的東西分門別類，好讓那些埋藏已久的漂亮線卷從見天日。

在暗暗的黃光之下，摸著扶手，走幾級樓梯，到達家門。
這只是我想像出來的畫面，多渴望這是真的。這地方應該很像九龍城的某處，以前我慣性會把畫面先拍下來，然後繪畫，可是近來想用幻想的，把光暗和氣氛都幻想出來，心裡反而覺得實在。
有位好朋友和我一樣喜歡波波燈，覺得在她有生之年，一定會冒著被抓的危險從街上偷一兩顆回家，然後叫我去她家裡看。

Song Diary no.1 〈how can a poor man stand such times and live〉

But now prices almost puts a man to sleep."
話說前幾天，打算在youtube尋找一下Ry cooder的結他作品來聽聽，卻無意中找到了〈how can a poor man stand such times and live〉的cover 版本，因為結他伴奏加上Ry的聲線實在太動聽，忍不住google了一下，才發現了這首歌曲的歷史！
這首美國老民搖寫於1929年，作者叫Blind Alfred Reed，當時正值Great Depression(經濟大恐慌)，全球陷入由股市大跌引至的世界性經濟衰退，於是他有感而發，寫下這首反映社會狀況的貧者之曲。
本來貧窮並不可怕，可是當城市人生活在龐大的經濟體系之下，原本並無做錯的人們亦會慘遭時代牽連，一夜間窮得連買食物的錢也沒有。
這首控訴時代的歌曲早在近一世紀前寫下，可是如今細看歌詞，發覺它一路走來依然適用。

〈Hong Kong Annual Report 1956〉
在1956年，香港仍是英國殖民地，政府出版了這本漂亮的〈Hong Kong Annual Report 1956〉，封面圖片像照片又像畫，字體秀麗而典雅。
我在一間售賣舊香港物品的店鋪看到這本書，與一堆老照片和刊物並置擺放著，是店內的迷你懷舊展中的其中一件展品。如果我是一位旅客，看到這麼漂亮的書，應該會霎時愛上這個地方吧，書的封面設計確有著這樣的力量。
對於某些舊書，有時我會希望它可以回復到新的狀態，殘舊的樣子太可憐。可是這本書的情況卻剛好相反，距離出版日期已有了60年了，時間在它身上做成的舊化痕跡，卻與書本身的感覺出奇地吻合，就像是剛出版已是舊舊的樣子。
某些風景，就只配出現在某個特定的時間點吧。
