Art of Shinkansen Animation
"Art of Shinkansen" is an exhibition of JR Central Japan Railways. Along with other artists worldwide, I created a gif animation ── #12 Train Station Lunchbox - Ekiben. I created the whole animation by using my favourite drawing material - color pencils. Then, I animated the Ekiben drawings in a naive way similar to stop-motion. To me, a color pencil drawing always bring warmth and nostalgic feelings. This is somehow in echo with the joyful and blessed feeling while enjoying the well-made Japanese Ekibens.
